Our first fertility specialist appt.

Well first off we found out that Timmy only has 1million sperm and that something about the sperm makes it so it might be hard to get into the egg. He said otherwise things are fine with him. He said that Timmy might have had an off day that day and they will check it again when we do our IUI next month.

We basically went over all my history and stuff. He said that 25% of woman who had Chlamydia (I had it when I was 17) have blocked fallopian tubes and was going to have me get an HSG, but decided not to since I'm severely allergic to Iodine and deff don't wanna have another allergic reaction. He then did an ultrasound and I found out I have PCOS. I'm not really sure what that is, I've been doing some research, but good news is he said he gonna mark it on the papers that they file to the insurance as PCOS and that all my ultrasounds will be covered along with my visits =) I'm so thankful for that cuz it will cut down costs some! He said that since my progesterone level wasn't great with 50mg of Clomid, he is bumping me up to 100mg next cycle and that I will have an ultrasound done at day 10, 11, or 12 and then that will decide when I have the Ovidrel shot. Then we will be doing our first IUI.

He didn'y jump the gun straight to IVF. I've been crying for days about this cuz I just knew that we couldn't afford that and so we are going to be doing at least 3-4 rounds with IUI before moving on to anything else.

I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up right now, but its kinda hard since I finally have a diagnosis of my bad cramping and heavy bleeding problems and that Timmy's SA coulda been a fluke.

Overall I'm very happy with my doctor =)
